Dirk Blackman
Telling stories that grip the audience and transport them where they need to go — whether the audience is in a theater, classroom or boardroom — is my focus and success. I have built a dynamic, long-lasting career as a writer, educator and communicator with deep experience and passion for the written, visual, and spoken word. With over 25 screenplays and pilots sold to major studios and independent films produced by indies and mini majors, I have an insider’s view of how movies are made. As an educator, I am constantly impressed and inspired by the next generation of student creators who will face a wild west of technology and consumption. And finally, I’ve been lucky to work with some of the most talented marketing and advertising experts on the planet as they build internal and external communications strategies for global brands including Nike, Sunglass Hut, Kodak and RED Digital Cinema.
