ClearView Rush carries edit decisions and metadata with the media, so assets update as the edit evolves

Sohonet has introduced ClearView Rush, a review platform purpose-built for studio creative executives.
The platform enables users to see every cut, reel and shot across the slate in one view, and is a native iPad experience that enables users to move between the office, the screening room and the road without losing their place.
It also carries edit decisions and metadata with the media, so assets update as the edit evolves, said the company. Executives can filter dailies by camera or circle takes, move scene to scene within a cut and always see the current version, without thinking about file names, formats or storage. For the studio, the same assets serve every step of the pipeline, with no re-ingest and no duplicate uploads.
“We took a thoughtful approach to workflow, focusing on how media moves through the studio process,” said Erik Strauss, chief product officer at Sohonet. “Built on open standards for interoperability, Rush delivers a richer, more contextualised experience for studio creatives, and enables a more collaborative process with production.”
