Formosa Group Announces Jackie Jones as President

Robert Rosenthal Steps into Role of Founder Emeritus

LOS ANGELES (June 17, 2026)—Formosa Group, the sound division of Streamland Media and an industry leader and creative innovator in post-production sound, has announced that Jackie Jones has been named president. Jones brings more than 20 years of post-production experience to the role, including over a decade of leadership at Formosa Group.

Formosa Group Founder Robert Rosenthal will become founder emeritus. “I enter this new phase of my professional life at Formosa Group with overwhelming gratitude,” noted Rosenthal. “As I transition to an emeritus role, I reflect on the professional relationships developed, the support received, and our collective belief in one another through all these years. I truly cherish every moment, realizing that each interaction helped shape Formosa’s guiding principles and characteristics in a profound way.”

With extensive industry experience in post-production and her stint at Formosa, Jones is well prepared to take on her new role. Among her notable accomplishments is Formosa Group’s broadcast division, which she grew from the ground up, turning it into an award-winning powerhouse in episodic sound.

A UK native, Jones came to Los Angeles in 2002 to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. She began in picture post but soon discovered a love for post sound. Her career includes key roles at Todd-AO, Ascent Media, and Technicolor. During her time at Formosa Group she held senior leadership roles, most recent Senior Vice President. Jones holds a BS in Business & Sports from the University of Roehampton.

Jones is widely recognized for her ability to match talent with the right clients and projects — an instinct that has earned her the reputation as “the matchmaker of sound.” Her deep relationships with leading creatives and studios — including HBO, 101 Studios, Apple, Hello Sunshine, and Netflix — have been central to Formosa’s growth and standing.

“Formosa has played an undeniable role in post-production sound since Bob opened its doors in 2013,” said Jones. “It is a distinct pleasure to work alongside the most talented creatives, executives, and filmmakers. I am excited and honored to guide Formosa as we continue to deliver the finest post sound. My commitment is to keep us future‑ready and to support our extraordinary team and clients as we move through an ever‑changing industry together.”

Streamland CEO Bill Romeo added, “Under Bob Rosenthal’s visionary leadership, Formosa Group set the bar for post sound in our industry. He built an incredible organization, and his important contributions are deeply appreciated.  I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Jackie for more than 20 years, and she is the ultimate professional. As the industry continues to evolve, I am extremely excited and confident that Jackie will take Formosa to the next level.”
